The DLD and me/I

So. There was this one time.
Me and my mother were on our way down to the DLD.
About 5 minutes into the drive, I asked my mom if she brought everything that we needed.
She said that she thought she did. (She thought it was my responsibility
We show up.
Oh, you need a lot more than a birth certificate. Which was all we brought.
So. Looks like we will just have to go next Monday.
Because we will have a lot of time next Monday.
It is minimal Monday.
And Olivia, prepare to get beaten in our permit race.
I've got this in the bag.

As of 8/1/2006, which was four years ago, they no longer accept pocket size birth certificates.
(That is what the picture says, sorry for the bad photo. I'm not cool enough to own a legit camera.)

Permit time.

In a few hours.
I will sit in a room.
And pass my permit test.
And get my permit.
Win.

Oops... Didn't mean to say that.

You know those times.
Where you say something, either when you were mad at someone, or were angry, or sad, ect.
And you didn't mean to say it.
Well. One time my mom was having one of those bad days.
And she said something, that, hopefully, she didn't mean to say.
I will tell you about this time.
At the end of this post.
You should laugh.
Here we go.

One day, a few years back. I was a 13 year old.
I had lived for approximately 4745 days. Give or take a few hundred.
Anyways.
I was in the seventh grade. I had just taken up the instrument of cello.
It is quite a cool instrument.
And that is where we will start this story.
As some of you may know, when you first start an instrument, you are terrible.
Especially if you are starting a string instrument.  Becuase you don't know how to make a good sound, and all that good stuff.

So, me, not knowing how to play good, because, I was indeed... A noob.
I sat down to practice my 25 minutes. That is what was required for a good grade in that class.
And I started.
And I sounded... horrid.
My mom walks in, after probably dealing with a fight between my younger syblings.
And she yells, and I QUOTE, "Spencer! Stop and racket. You sound like a DYING COW!"

Right there.
Right there, I stood up, with a tear or two in my eye(s).
(Sidney is standing there, the whole time, laughing. I am pretty sure she peed her pants.)
And I walked down in my room.
And I think I cried. You would too if your mother told you you sounded like a dying animal.
So, she came down and apologized. I forgave her. But Sidney still teases me about sounding like that.

Well, there is my funny story.
Did you laugh?
That is pretty much my main goal in blogging.
Brighten up peoples days, with laughter.

Right now

At this very moment.
I am blogging.
Sitting at the computer, my popcorn is popping in the microwave. (Mostly becuase we don't have an apricot tree.)
I am listening to the BYU basketball game.
Because BYU is kind of cool.
And Jimmer is, well, pretty much amazing.

My popcorn is done, hold on, I am going to go and get it.
The biggest problem with popcorn is you never know if the popcorn button on the microwave will either not cook it long enough, or will burn it.
This time it is burnt. But when you add salt and melted butter, it still tastes good.
BYU is up by 6. They are doing quite good.
Have I told you Jimmer is amazing?
Well, he kinda is.

I have some assignments that are due tomorrow.
A math assignment.
My biology homework.
My biology 100 question practice test.
And I still need to read my scriptures.
I just finished the section that is 117 verses long.
Took me a few days, but it is finished.
I am proud of myself.

I practiced about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
I practiced so much becuase I found my solo that I am going to play next year.
It is quite amazing.
I will make it sound amazing.
Well. I am going to listen to the rest of the game.
Becuase it is quite an amazing game.

I am...... a nerd.

For those who don't know of this.
I work at the CMSEC.
For those who don't know what the heck that stands for, it is pretty much just the Space Center.
Most of you have been there.
And hopefully most of you enjoyed it a lot.
If you haven't been there ever, it is amazing.
I enjoy it.  Working there, that is.
There. I am more commenly known as Mary/Merry.  (Don't you love slashes?)
I am called that because.... well... because of my last name. It is Merryweather... Ya.
There are many reason I work there.
The people there are awesome.
Like The Vandenbos's.  They are Brittney and Nicole.
They are twins. But you would never tell it if you looked at them.
It took me about 3 years to figure this out.
Brittney has brown hair, and can get mad at people when they deserve it.
Nichole is blond and you would never see her mad.
Ever.

Some of the other people are Jaden, or sometimes called Ginger.
Because he is a red head.
We try not to make fun of him too much.

Then, there is Victor.
He is pretty much the coolest person you would ever meet.
(Besides Dan Palmer of course)
But, he is pretty much the best.
He runs the place.

He also runs a blog.
He is pretty much an amazing writer.
Why hasn't he written a book?
That remains a mystery.

So. You should read his blog.

http://voyagerslog.blogspot.com/

It is pretty awesome.  As I have previously stated....

Not a single B.

This term.
There wasn't any B's on my grades.
Which was surprizing. Becuase the week before the term ended every class I had an I, (which means incomplete. It was because of my scales,) and the rest were B's.
The end of the term has to be the most stressing time.
You have all the big projects. But what I have never understood is why teachers assign those assignments.
They are just setting themselves up for a bad weekend.
They are going to have 3 days to grade all of the projects they have assigned their students. Which is usually 250+.
Why don't they just call it good.
Maybe teachers like staying up till four in the morning the day that grades are due grading assignments.
Just maybe.

This man named Todd.

He is my friend. On facebook. He finds funny picutres.
Most of them make me laugh. Here are some of them.

I will talk about churchball. Once again.

Today we had our churchball game.
Our churchball team is pretty good.
We lost our first game only by 50 points.
Not too bad.
Today we had the honor of facing the members of the Orchard Ward.
I was the first to arrive, to get some extra practice in before the game.
Then Noah arrived along with Ashton, Austin, and Taylor.
Spencer C. didn't show up.
Our star player. Not there.
Ya. Loser.
The other team had two people there.
Two minutes before the match they had four.
So, they were forced to forfeit.
Three minutes after they forfeited, their fifth player showed up. (For those who didn't know, you have to have at least five people to play.)
So, even if we lose, we win by forfeit. It is weird. I don't like it.
We started. We did very well.
By the second half, we were down by 7.
Fourth quarter, 7, still.
We have six minutes to score 7 more points than them.
Quarter starts. 4 minutes in we are STILL down by seven.
So... I decided to help my team.
I scored a three pointer.
Then after that. I scored another three pointer.
We are now tied at 27-27, after someone scored a free throw or something like that.
12 seconds to go.
There is no overtime in Churchball.
So.... I decided to hit the ball out of the other team's hands and score the game winning lay-up.
So. I did.
We won this game. 29-27.
I think I got high off of adrenaline.
If that is even possiable.
I had 18 points to lead the game.
Noah had 5, Taylor 4, Ashton with 2, and Austin with some very close baskets.
Most intense game of my life.

There it is.
The final score.
So. Prase the Young Men of Second Ward.
We won it.
We are 1-1.
Bring it on.

Should this be worth celebrating?

This is, according to Blogger, my 50th blog post.
My blog is quite young.
Most of the people that read my blog have blogs that are pretty old.
Like my mom.
Her blog is mega old.

I haven't posted in a while.
I am suppost to be blogging every day...
But that is unlikely to happen.
Because I am a bit lazy.
So, for my 50th post, I will blabber on and on about my day.
Like most of my posts have been.
But, if you can read till the end, I will give you a link.
To a website, that will be amazing.
(And... possibly kill you.)
((Not because it is so amazing, because of a seizer.))

Today, had to be one of the best days I have had in a long time.
We had a scholarship man come into our orchestra.
Mr. Beck said he was from Juliard, I don't know if this is alright to admit... but the only reason I know of Juliard... is because it was mentioned on high school musical.
ANYWAYS....
Ya. Mr. Beck lied.
He wasn't from there.
He was from Dixie State.

Next... Math.
My grade in that class wasn't too good. Or wasn't where I wanted it. It was a B. I don't like B's.

Mainly because I am used to getting A's all my life.
I am a nerd. I am proud to be a nerd. Because you know that your life won't get screwed up. With bad grades, or anything like that.
(I mean, really, how many nerds have you heard about ruined their lives with drugs and whatnot.)
The reason for that grade was because I got a D on a test.
Ya, I got a D!
Lowest grade I have ever gotten.
I needed at least a 100% to get an A- in that class.
Well. I can tell you that prayers work. Because I got a 105.
I think I had a heart attack. I cried with joy.
The only bad thing is... I have an 89.19. That is a B+.
That is not good.
As I have said, I do not like B's.
I need to fix this.
Maybe with some prayer and hard work will fix it.
I definitely won't use bribery and sucking up....

Next was woods.
I finished my stool.
Just in time too.
It is the most beautiful looking thing I have ever made.
The next thing I am going to make... A paddle.
Like a spanking paddle. Used in the olden days were kids were physicaly punished, not the sissy, 'Sit in a corner and wear the cone of shame.'
It will be legit.
With holes in it and everything.
It will be a beauty.

Then, lastly, was the last day of Seminary with Sister Brown.
Sister Brown was the most amazing Seminary teacher I have ever had.
She was the best.... Ever.
She was one of the people that... knew what was going on with others lives.
And wasn't afraid to ask if you how you were that day.
And when you said 'I'm good", she knows if you really are doing good or if you are not doing good.
She was such a fun teacher. I will miss her.
A lot.

So, I blabbered about my day.
And now, as I promised, the link that will blow your mind.
This was found by a friend named Brinton.
He is my stand partner in orchestra.
Pretty much the cooliest person I have ever met.
Are you all ready for this?

Click me. And your mind will explode.

Best sport ever?

Churchball.
Period.
January is the start of a new year, and a new churchball season.
The Pleasant Grove Second Ward team..... Well. I'll just say we have a fun time playing.
Todays opponents:  The Lame Ninth Ward.
I don't know if you guys know this... but they are kind of the rivals of the Pleasant Grove Stake.
I came into the game quite cocky.
Maybe it was because I was wearing my cocky belt buckel.
We got there.  Found out that almost everyone in their ward.... made the basketball team. Then quit so they could play rec ball and churchball.
Everyone on Ninth ward were taller than our tallest man.
(Which is Spencer C.)
Our team that game consisted of, Spencer C., Noah, Austin, Taylor, Jaden Aland, then, there was me.
I thought we still had a chance.
Spencer is pretty much our only good player, no offence to our other amazing team members, but he is the only reason we can win games.
The game started.
We won the tip-off.
We travled down, and missed our shot, then they shot, then missed.
I got the ball.
And I shot....
I made it.
A three point to be exact.
I was happy.
yay me...
Then, they answered.
With a three.
So, we are tied.
Three to three...
(I know, the suspense is killing you.)
Then, I got the ball again.
And I shot.
And made yet another three point shot.
I was happy.
Then ninth ward scored about...... 15 points.
Just one right after another.
Then, I got the ball again.
And shot.
And. Made. It.
That is flippen 9 points.
Then.... they started to guard me.
Then, Spencer got the ball and scored back to back three's.
We thought we had a chance.
Well.
We didn't.
The score then was 28-15.
We thought we could win.
We thought wrong.
Half time, it was 32-15.
Third quarter... 50-15.
Final score.
64-16.
(I made a free throw.)
So... That is how the game went down.
We lost.
But we had the most fun.
So... I am a winner in my book.
And I scored 10 points.
The most I have ever scored was 4.
So I am improving.
Our team is improving.
I really like our coach.
Bro. Woodberry.
I will miss Brig as our coach.
And I will totally miss him if he moves.
I may even shead a tear or two.

The only reason I am writing this post is so I will get a good grade in English

So.
I have to blog every day, as I have probably said, to get a good grade in English.
So, in this post, I will blabber on and on about my boring life.
You don't have to read it.
I will not be offended at all.
But, if you have read this far, why not read until the end of this post.
I mean, if you wern't reading this, you would be doing;
A: On facebook
B: Texting a male/female that you know
C: Eating a baked potatoe
D: All the above

Or, for Mrs. Gallagher..... Changing my grade to an A?
Please?
That would help me out a lot.
Because if I get bad grades... Then my future will suck, and I will become a drop out, then I will hate my life.
So.... You could change it.

Tomorrow I will be seeing Daniel Palmer.
And passing off of my scales.
But most importantly, visiting Dan.

Sometimes, I want to put his as my facebook picture.
I mean, how could you not?
